Describing themselves at a “future grunge” group, the duo in 8 Graves have returned with a brand new single, “RIP.”

“RIP” is the upbeat, and maybe even a little haunting, new single from the band, and it’s taken off of their upcoming and highly anticipated fourth EP, White, which is due out on October 30 via AWAL.

Of the duo’s latest single, the band’s singer Brent Carpentier shared:

“RIP talks about how hard it can be to spend time alone with our thoughts. As we’ve gained more of a following, I can always rely on our friends and supporters to encourage me through my days. But when I lay down to sleep, it’s a different story. I still have the dark thoughts. The hard times.”

He continued on by saying:

“It’s made me extra thankful for the folks that offer their kindness to us through their comments and messages and emails, and it’s made me extra wary of the time I spend alone. I think we all have those evenings. Minds racing. Tossing and turning. That’s where this song came from.”
