Right On, Kid is a pop-punk quintet hailing from Albuquerque, New Mexico that has already began carving out their own path. The band — consisting of Zach Rose (Vocals), Nick Encinias (Vocals – Guitar), RJ Butler (Vocals – Guitar), Matt Jaramillo (Bass) and Eli Shinn (Drums) — formed in the summer of 2015. They quickly found themselves picking up steam in their local acene, and with the release of their debut EP, On the Brighter Side of Things, in 2016, they quickly toured up and down the west coast.
Two years later came their album Forever Missing Out, which showed off their ever evolving sound, adding elements of the mainstream genre to their music. The album had contributions from the likes of David Dominguez (Weezer, Guns n’ Roses, Queen Latifah, Staind), Seth Henderson (Real Friends, Knuckle Puck, Sleep On It) and Kristofer Crummett (Dance Gavin Dance). Released inn May of 2018 via Manic Kat Records, the album featured tracks like “Loci” and “Clarity” which quickly gained national attention.
Now, they are gearing up to release their new EP, When Words Are Enough, this Friday on April 19th. The album was produced by the aforementioned Henderson at ABG Studios, Crownpoint, IN and mastered by John Naclerio. The first single, ‘Tracer’ features a guest vocal spot by Ryan Rumchaks of Knuckle Puck/Homesafe.
However, Substream is excited to be teaming up with Right On, Kid to bring an exclusive premiere of the EP today, two days ahead of its release.
“We’re so excited to show everyone what we’ve being working on for the past year. When Words Are Enough is a look into the future for us as a band. We learned more about ourselves as musicians and people while working on this project than we have on any other set of songs we have released,” explains Rose on the new EP from Right On, Kid. “Both musically and lyrically we believe these songs are our best work and we can’t wait to show them to all of our friends, family, and fans. Thank you for sticking with us.”
