Nashville two-piece TWEN have finally released their debut single, “Waste”, premiered Tuesday via Stereogum. Having released nothing more than a live EP from the band’s debut performance in a Boston basement, TWEN, lead by Jane Fitzsimmons and guitarist Ian Jones, has been on the road touring for the past few years, managing to rile up crowds and gain a following. The new song— a summery, dreamrock number— is about fighting the relentless voices of self-doubt that play on loop in your head. But, these doubts fall away as lead vocalist Jane Fitzsimmons shouts into your ears: “I make you wanna be someone. I make you want to waste it, I make you wanna waste some time.” Listen below.

TWEN have also announced a support tour with White Reaper, on which they will be spending the better part of June going up and down the East Coast. All dates can be found below, and tickets here.
