Netflix’s mystery series Stranger Things has inspired a lot of people, but only one of them, Ingrid Michaelson, was so inspired that they are releasing an album based off of it. Stranger Songs comes out June 28th via Cabin 24 Records, serving as Michaelson’s eighth album, and today she’s giving us a preview of it with a new single “Jealous.”
“Jealous was inspired by the moment in the show Stranger Things when Eleven knocks Max off of her skate board because she’s jealous,” says Michaelson. “She knows it’s not like her to do something like that, and I related. I admit I do bad things when I’m jealous, and I thought that could be a relatable concept. I have gotten a lot better. I think it’s good to admit the things you need to work on. Maybe even sing about them.”
