Formerly known as Backpacks, If Only, If only is a Midwestern outfit that is poised to make some noise. Combining their reflective, moving lyrics, with an indie/post-hardcore sound, the band creates an atmosphere unlike any other, shedding the remanants of their past.

This new sonic blueprint — one that is driving yet melodically massive — is found at its best on their new, self-titled EP. The self titling makes all of the sense in the world for If Only, If Only, a band that is deadset on charting their own course in this world. This release is all them and what they want to be.

While the EP is slated to be released this Friday, March 8th, Substream is excited to bring an exclusive stream today ahead of time. They will take you on a journey that is dynamic and thrilling, with tracks that are alternative and others that are more electronica-tinged.

Telling Substream, the band shares “This EP is some of the most honest and collaborative work any of us have ever done. Writing these songs was the first time it felt like a collective voice rather than separate conversations. This was not only a learning experience as musicians but also a bonding experience as a team.”
