At this point, I don’t think Iron Chic knows how to stop ripping. Fresh off the wound left by the music video for “My Best Friend (Is A Nihilist),” Iron Chic are at it again with a new song called “A Headache With Pictures.” Instead of taking another anthemic stab at communicating feelings of hopelessness, Iron Chic seemingly use this track as a rallying cry against that exact mindset.

A chant-ready chorus of “You wanna settle the score/Well I’m tryin’/Who’s selling self control/Cuz I’m buyin’/Now I know/Now I know it all/Now I know/It ain’t easy to live/When you’re dyin'” makes “A Headache With Pictures” feel gargantuan in size. When juxtaposed with the rest of the lyrics it paints a vivid picture of what Iron Chic has in store for the rest of You Can’t Stay Here. Both of these singles roar through feelings of insecurity and grief in a way that will make you wanna cry as you cruise down the highway with the top down.

In that light, the album title seems to speak more-so of a mindset than a place — and that mindset is home to the devilish grin and darkness present on the record’s artwork. You can hear “A Headache With Pictures” above, and the rest of the lyrics can be found below.

“A Headache With Pictures” Lyrics:

Got my feet on the street And my head in the clouds
It ain’t easy to sleep
When you’re spinning around I got an ocean of grief
Just pouring down on me It comes without warning I hope that I can keep it… …Down on my luck
And there’s none around Yeah it’s stupid as fuck And I know how it sounds Must’ve been a relief Getting rid of me
Must feel so much lighter
Now that you’ve been unbound –
Now I know
What emptiness is
So I’ll go it alone
Too fucking tired to bother
To dial the phone
I’m still mourning
The life that I left behind

You wanna settle the score Well I’m tryin’
Who’s selling self-control
Cuz I’m buyin’
Now I know
Now I know it all
Now I know
It ain’t easy to live
When you’re dyin’
