Earlier this year, we premiered “The No-Funs”, a colorful video with a deeper message from Val Astaire and the Communion (the new project lead by Brian Joyce, formerly of Major League). After releasing another single “Fall Apart” and an overseas tour with longtime friends Forever Came Calling this summer, Val Astaire is back with his latest single, “Rebel.” Like the others, it’s a moody yet sparkly track that blends vintage and hyper-modern influence. Lyrically, “Rebel” sees Val reflecting on someone that’s had – and still has – a mesmerizing effect on him. If you’ve ever had a “Rebel” in your life, chances are you’ll relate.

Val also announced that on November 9, he’ll be releasing his debut EP, Yellow. We’re not sure what the EP will have in store, but the title is making us think there will be some hints of sunshine – but who knows what could be in store?
