Diva Sweetly are a new alternative/indie-pop group comprised of four best friends from North Carolina. They’ve now released their debut single, “Detox Island,” along with it’s charming new music video.

It’s a song that draws influences from across the music scene: a little bit of Joyce Manor, Third Eye Blind, Beach Boys, and more all blended together. If you have a knack for 90’s music with a modern quirky, synth-pop twist, then Diva Sweetly and “Detox Island” will be right up your alley.

The music video for “Detox Island” — which can be found above — showcases the band in perhaps their most natural habitat. The video follows the band as they ride skateboards, roller-skate, and perform while being in a room with balloons falling all around them. The aesthetic of the video itself matches the throwback sounding natural of “Detox Island.”

Diva Sweetly is gearing up to release their debut album, which is expected to be released in early-2019 via Seal Mountain Records, which also gave us standout records from Oso Oso (The Yunahon Mixtape) and Common Holly (Playing House).
