It has been 10 years since TTNG (formerly known as This Town Needs Guns) released their debut breakthrough album, Animals. To celebrate this feat, the band decided to release Animals Acoustic, a completely re-recorded and re-imagined version of Animals, on October 5th. The new re-imagined album was completed in just two weeks, and is made complete with original vocalist Stu Smith hoping on.
Today, TTNG have released a new, acoustic version of their song “Baboon,” which of course originally appeared on Animals. You will find the lyric video for this new reimagined version at the top of the post, so you can listen for yourself.
Animals Acoustic is a fun and vibrant take on TTNG’s fascinating debut album, and features musical guests from various friends and even their contemporaries including Nate Kinsella (American Football, Birthmark), The Kraken Quarter, Yvette Young (Covet), The Mivos Quartet, and more.
TTNG will also be heading out on a brief North American tour this fall with Prince Daddy and The Hyena, and you will find all of those upcoming tour dates below.
