Assuming We Survive spent all of this previous summer on the final cross-country Warped Tour, captivating and electrifying audiences every day. They teased all summer about releasing new music and today we are very excited to partner up with the band to fulfill their promise of new music.
Assuming We Survive entered into the studio to work on their new release, Chapters (due out October 12th), with producer Tyler Smyth (Dangerkids, Bless the Fall, Falling In Reverse) and had the mentality of making a record that would “break the mold,” so to speak. For a band that has been known for their high energy, Chapter takes them to the next level with feel good songs and heavy-hitting tracks as well.
To celebrate the announcement of Chapters, we have an exclusive stream of a new Assuming We Survive song today. The track is called “Make It Out Alive” and is a high energy track that comes out swinging from the very beginning, and adds in effective screams here and there, setting the tone for this being one of their heavy hitting songs on the new release.
“Our good friend Kris Comeaux sent us over the music and we instantly connected with it. We felt the energy of the song and the lyrics flowed naturally. The song was written about how life can beat you down or inspire you to conquer it, along with the changes that occur as you become older and prove those wrong who doubted you. The song you hear is a culmination of Kris Comeaux, AWS, and Tyler Smyth’s production,” explains the band.
You can stream “Make It Out Alive” for yourself above, and head here to pre-order your copy of Chapters — which will drop on October 12th via Third String Records. Additionally, Assuming We Survive will be touring relentlessly through the fall, and all of their tour dates can be found below.
