Jackie Venson is the daughter of Austin music staple, Andrew Venson, and her early drive for music took her to Boston’s Berklee College of Music. This lead to Venson picking up a guitar for the first time and diving into her eclectic taste of music, such as blues, R&B, and pop artists.
Back in 2014, in a pool of over 2,000 entries, Jackie Venson was picked for a set of five amphitheater performances sponsored by southern retail chain, Belk. This selection lead to Venson opening for acts such as Tim McGraw, James Taylor, and Jason Aldean. Since then, she has released Light In Me in 2015, Jackie Venson Live in 2016, and her latest release, Transcends, in 2017
Fresh off an incredibly busy summer that pushes her more towards familiarity amongst music fans, we have teamed up with Jackie Venson to bring a new music video for her song “Keep On.” Expanding on the story behind the video, Venson states “This video was filmed in Big Bend, West Texas. Unlike my other videos which often have a story line, the vision for this was to capture the sheer joy and spontaneity of falling in love”
The music video for “Keep On” — which can be found at the top of the post — is another single that serves as a follow-up to 2017’s Transcends. Jackie Venson is continuing to build upon the momentum from the past few years, and is looking to carry that through this fall, when they are going out on tour and even making an appearance at this year’s Austin City Limits.
