San Diego punk band The Frights have dropped a new song called “Over It.” It is the last track set to be released from their upcoming album, Hypochondriac, which will be released this Friday, August 24th via Epitaph Records.

The song — which can be streamed above — showcases the instinctive writing process behind Hypochondriac with it’s outpouring of frustration. “The writing flowed pretty naturally,” says The Frights’ vocalist/guitarist Mikey Carnevale. “I went through quite a lot of bullshit since the last record…so, I had a lot to talk about. It’s mostly personal stuff, so I tried to make venting entertaining to listen to.”

The Fights’ Hypochondriac was produced by FIDLAR frontman Zac Carper (SWMRS, Dune Rats), mixed by Rob Kinelski (Ed Sheehan, Thirty Seconds to Mars, Billie Eilish), and mastered by Grammy Award winning Greg Calbi (Arcade Fire, Tame Impala, The War on Drugs). The record can be pre-ordered here.

To celebrate the release of their new album, The Frights will be performing a special hometown show at The Observatory North Park this Friday. They then kick off their Hypochondriac North American tour on September 8th in Santa Ana, California, and will wrap up the tour on October 18th in Phoenix, Arizona. All of their North American headlining dates (except where marked) will also feature Hunny and Hot Flash Heat Wave.
