Former My Chemical Romance frontman Gerard Way has released a new song today and it’s titled “Happy Together.” The song is a cover originally made famous by the Turtles. It’s a cut that will be featured in episode five of his upcoming Netflix series, The Umbrella Academy, which is set to arrive on the service February 15th.
The Umbrella Academy is based off of Gerard Way’s comic series created and written by Way himself. “Happy Together” features ex-bandmate Ray Toro. The song is one of many singles Way has released in the last few years even though the ex-MCR singer hasn’t released a full-length album since Hesitant Alien released in 2014.
