As music journalists, there’s a certain thrill in seeing that a band you’ve written about for a long time start to achieve the success you know they deserve. Here at Substream, we’ve been fans of New Jersey rockers Save Face for a long time: in 2016, we premiered their video for “Ditched” from the Folly EP. They’ve been making waves ever since through regular touring and plenty of hard work, and now, it has been announced that Save Face has signed to Epitaph Records, where they’ll join a roster that includes everyone from Alkaline Trio to Every Time I Die to The Menzingers to Saosin.

To celebrate the signing, Save Face have shared a brand new single and music video called “Bad.” It’s got a brash, punk quality but Tyler Povanda’s vocals, combined with a guitar riff that echoes the melody, make it feel like your favorite brand of indie pop. Even when things get intense in the video, things never seem to look too bleak. Watch the video for “Bad” at the top of this post.

Next week, Save Face will be hitting the road with Boston Manor, Free Throw, Homesafe, and Hot Mulligan. Beginning in Buffalo, NY on April 10 and wrapping up in Hartford, CT on April 21, the tour will hit cities up and down the east coast as well as in the Midwest. The full list of shows can be seen below; keep up with Save Face on Twitter and their website to see what else they have in store for the future.
