It’s been twenty years since the release of Ms. Lauryn Hill’s debut solo album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill which came out in 1998.  To celebrate, the GRAMMY-award winning artist is going on a world tour starting July 5th of this year. The tour will be hitting locations including Miami, Toronto, Atlanta and more.

Hill reflects on her first ever albums saying, “This album chronicled an intimate piece of my young existence. It was the summation of most, if not all, of my most hopeful and positive emotions experienced to that date. I Loved and believed deeply in my community’s ability to both Love and heal itself provided it received the right amount of support and encouragement. Our world today, both complex and changing, is in need of the balance between moral fortitude and cathartic expression. I hope the Love and energy that permeated this work can continue to inspire change with Love and optimism at the helm.”

Along with the tour dates ranging from Miami, Boston to Toronto, Ms. Lauryn Hill will also be performing a special concert at the Apollo Theatre on Tuesday, May 1, presented by Citi.

Tickets are officially going on sale for the general public on April 20 at 10 a.m. and can be bought on LiveNation.com
