Earlier this week, Leon Bridges returned with two new tracks “Bet Ain’t Worth the Hand” and “Bad Bad News.” Today, he has officially announced his new album, Good Thing, which will be released on May 4th.

Good Thing gets it’s title from “Bad Bad News,” in which Leon Bridges sings “they say that I was born to lose, but I made a good good thing out of bad bad news.” It will be the follow-up to his critically acclaimed, grammy-nominated, Gold-cetified debut album, Coming Home.

Leon Bridges and his long-time collaborators, Niles City Sound and Ricky Reed, headed out west to record Good Thing. Bridges wanted to keep the signature sound he established for himself while pushing towards more of a modern R&B direction. “I loved my experience with Coming HomeGood Thing, however, allows me to showcase more of my influences and artistry. I’m excited for the world to hear it and perform this diverse group of songs live,” Bridges says.
