For most bands, it takes years to build a following, and even longer to sell out shows in their hometown. Standing out can be even harder in a major city like Los Angeles, where there are up-and-coming musical acts everywhere you look, making it even more impressive when a group manages to break out quickly. With only three singles under their belts, Southern California indie-rockers Wallows managed to sell out their first five headlining shows this summer, and that’s no small feat considering they hit some legendary venues (like The Troubadour and The Roxy in Los Angeles and Mercury Lounge in New York City).
There’s no doubt Wallows’ fans are eager for more, and if you’re wanting to see them live you’re in luck as they’ve just announced that they’ll be hitting the road all across North America for their first-ever headlining tour this winter. The tour will begin in San Francisco on January 24 and will take them up and down the West Coast, into Canada (Vancouver, BC and Toronto, ON), and down the East Coast before wrapping up on March 12 in Dallas. Their summer shows sold out quickly, so make sure you buy your tickets straight away. Pre-sales will be available through Wallows’ newsletter this Wednesday, November 1; tickets will officially go on sale this Friday, November 3 at 12pm local time on the band’s website here.
Wallows is Braeden Lemasters (guitar / vocals), Dylan Minnette (lead vocals / guitar), and Cole Preston (drums / guitar). A full list of tour dates as well as the lyric video for their debut single “Pleaser” can be seen below.
