Rock legend Tom Petty was found unconscious in his Malibu home on Sunday night.

UPDATE #1: TMZ is now reporting that after Petty got to the hospital he had no brain activity and a decision was made to pull life support. More details to follow.
ORIGINAL POST: TMZ is reporting that rock and roll icon Tom Petty is currently on life support. The music legend was reportedly found unconscious in a full cardia episode at his Malibu home on Sunday night. EMTs arrived to find Petty not breathing, but they able to get a pulse. He was rushed to UCLA hospital in Santa Monica where he reportedly remains on life support.
Petty’s current condition is not known, but the gossip site claims he has been considered ‘critical’ since the call for help first went out.
The news of Petty’s health troubles comes just over a week after Petty wrapped a massive summer tour with a performance at the Hollywood Bowl. He is 66 years old.
TMZ further claims to be in contact with Petty’s team, who the describe as being clearly upset, but as of this point no one is offering further details on the incident.
