With just a few weeks to go till the release of their sophomore album Visions Of A Life, Wolf Alice have unveiled another music video, this time for “Beautifully Unconventional.” Shot in a studio, the band are seen performing in retro attire- frontwoman Ellie Rowsell sports a curly blonde wig- in front of a color-changing backdrop. Watch the video above.

“Beautifully Unconventional” champions a girl who “stick[s] out so sorely”, proclaiming her to be “beautifully unconventional” and declaring that “she seems to be from the best place in the world.” Rowsell tells The Fader that the song is “a celebration of all your non-conforming friends”- for anyone who’s felt like an underdog, Wolf Alice have created the perfect anthem to celebrate standing out. Of the video, Rowsell says it “has nothing to do with the song – I just didn’t want to have a mullet anymore, seeing as lots of people tore me to pieces in our last video, so it was an excuse to wear a wig!”.

“Beautifully Unconventional” follows the recently released videos for “Yuk Foo” (a gritty, performance-focused clip shot in the basement of London’s Shoreditch Town Hall) and “Don’t Delete The Kisses” (a delightful love story told on subway trains).  If there’s anything to gather from the two performance based clips so far, it’s that Wolf Alice have an electrifying show that is not to be missed. They’ll be on tour in North America this December; see the dates below and be sure to head to their website to purchase tickets.

After the variety in the visuals released so far, we’re excited to hear more from Wolf Alice. Visions Of A Life will be released on September 29 via Dirty Hit / RCA Records, and is now available for pre-order through all major digital retailers.
