In a time when their peers have largely disappeared, Such Gold prove they remain an unstoppable force in music on their latest EP.
What makes a band succeed? More importantly, what does it take for a band to last longer than five years? How about more than ten? I don’t know the answers to these questions, but if I had to guess I would say a combination of factors even the artists themselves could not entirely define. Some acts burn out after a few years on top, while others find a way to build careers far away from the Billboard charts that last for decades. Such Gold is one such act, serving as a beacon for a simpler time in music while constantly pushing themselves and their fans in new directions.
Today we are thrilled to host the world premiere of Such Gold’s new EP, Deep In A Hole. The record is the first batch of new material the band has released in a few years, and it offers five instantly memorable tracks to remind you why this group from upstate New York has remained a force to be reckoned with in the alternative scene. Every song speaks to the struggles of adulthood and the constant battle we face against ourselves. Such Gold has never been a band to shy away from things that might make others uncomfortable, and here they once again embrace their flaws in hopes of inspiring others to do the same.
