A Shadow of Jaguar is a high-energy, no holds barred rock-n-roll band with a sound ripped right out of the late 70s. Their the kind of band that is very much “what you see is what you get” in that there are no frills or gimmicks. A Shadow of Jaguar is just two dudes that bleed passion for the kind of rambunctious rock and roll that leaves you pining for cheap beer and the cigarette smoke haze of your local dive bar. Roughly a month from today, the duo will self-release their aptly titled debut album, Raw. Today, we’re bringing you the music video for the album’s lead single — a raucous and frantic ripper called “Don’t Want to Die Here.”

The music video, which can be found at the top of this post, immediately embraces the tropes of the rock and roll lifestyle. The video centers around the protagonist’s drug-induced dance catharsis. She’s surrendered herself to the primal energy that A Shadow of Jaguar managed to pack into “Don’t Want to Die Here,” which is reflected in her jagged and chaotic dancing. Fans of classic rock revivalists Greta Van Fleet are sure to love what A Shadow of Jaguar has brought to the table this time around.

A Shadow of Jaguar will self-release their debut album, Raw, this October. Pre-orders for the record are available here. Be sure to catch them next week at The Knitting Factory with Ruby Bones and The Yawpers. You can RSVP to that event here.
