Superfruit is the brainchild of Mitch Grassi and Scott Hoying, two parts of the monstrous and Grammy award-winning acapella group Pentatonix. Originally launching as a YouTube channel and a platform that allowed the two to create a meaningful connection with fans, the two are finally releasing their own music. The duo gave us a taste of their brand of pop music last year with the music video for a single called “Bad 4 Us” and later announced that they would release their debut album, Future Friends, today.

It should come as no surprise that their brand of pop music has some of the sweetest and most intrinsic feeling melodies to grace your ears this year. Their vocals compliment each other in such a way that it almost doesn’t seem humanly possible and only feel even more heavenly when juxtaposed with the music. Just one listen to any song off of Future Friends and you’re going to wish it had been released earlier in the Summer because these vibes scream warm weather and cold drinks.

At the top of this page you’ll find the video to my personal favorite from the album, a true BOP called “Imaginary Parties.” Be prepared to immediately fall into a very intense love.

Future Friends is available now on Spotify and all other streaming platforms.
