Memories can be a fickle thing. They can bring us joy and be crystal clear in our minds, but they can also bring back pain or be muddled and blurred. But what if you could remember everything perfectly and even rewatch your memories, or the memories of those around you? Would you want to? What might be revealed? This is the premise for Rememory the latest movie from director Mark Palansky.

The movie follows Peter Dinklage as Sam Bloom, a man fascinated by the memory storing and projecting device created by Gordon Dunn (Martin Donovan). Dunn isn’t long for the world though, as he mysteriously dies with no wounds, but bullet holes all around the room he was in. Bloom takes it upon himself to use the device to see through the memories of those close to Dunn in order to find out what happened. Of course, it’s not all sunshine and rainbows, as prolonged exposure to the device begins to wreak havoc on Bloom’s mind. In addition, there are people who would rather have Dunn’s death remain a mystery.

Along with Dinklage and Donovan, the movie also stars Julia Ormond, Evelyne Brochu, and the late Anton Yelchin in one of his final roles. You can watch the trailer for Rememory above. The movie will be released exclusively through Google Play on August 24 before getting a limited theatrical release on September 8.
