Eternal Boy is the 2017 reincarnation of the Drive Thru Records era. With a fast tempo, heavy hitting drums and clean vocals, the Pittsburgh-based band–consisting of Rishi Bahl (guitar, vocals), Andy Mayer (drums) and Joe Harbulak (bass, vocals)–channel the ghosts of old school New Found Glory, The Movielife and The Starting Line to introduce a new audience of music fans to what they were missing while they were infants.
Today, we are happy to bring you the world premiere of “Clean Slate” and its accompanying music video off Eternal Boy’s upcoming album, Awkward Phase, due out July 14 via Four Chord Music. The album was produced by Chris Badami, who worked on records for Midtown, Hidden In Plain View, The Starting Line and more.
Standing at only one minute and 19 seconds, the opening track of the album sets the tone for what’s to come later on. It’s loud, fast and everything a great pop punk song should be. The video for the track incorporates performance footage of the band as well as photographs of the members from their previous bands including The SpacePimps, which is what the Pittsburgh band went by before rebranding and becoming known as Eternal Boy.
Check out the video for the song below. Pre-orders for the album are available here.
