Harry Styles is living the best life. Not only has the former One Direction heart throb successfully graduated to a critically-acclaimed solo career, but he’s done so in the same year he’s also making his debut in the world of film (thanks to Dunkirk). Now Styles is taking his string of wins one step further by sharing one of the best video in recent memory, which literally finds him taking to the sky without the use of CGI.
“Sign of the Times” has been in the world for about a month now, and in that time we’ve learned there is still a place in the world for five-minute piano ballads at Top 40 radio. The video for Styles’ lead solo single finds the vocalist strolling through a sprawling field before taking flight and soaring over a majestic landscape. It’s the kind of whimsical clip you don’t see much of anymore, and it conveys a sense of hopefulness we all need right now.

According to Billboard, the video’s stunt pilot, Will Banks, said Harry flew more than 1,550 feet high during the shoot. He also said the clip was created without the use of CGI or green screen, meaning they legitimately picked Styles up off the ground and flew him around to create the video we enjoy today.

In other Harry Styles news, the singer released another song titled “Sweet Creature” late last week. His debut solo album arrives in stores and online this Friday, May 12.

Tickets for Styles’ first solo tour also went on sale last week. Every show sold out within minutes of going on sale, leaving thousands of fans demanding additional dates be added before performances begin this fall. So far, no new shows have been announced.

With the record arriving Friday it seems safe to assume more Harry Styles news will soon flood the internet. Follow Substream on Twitter to ensure you never miss an update.
