A little under two months since releasing “TWENTYSOMETHING,” LA-based singer/songwriter Talker has already unveiled another new single, “Drag Your Feet.”
The single was written by Jordan Blackmon (Toro y Moi), Jon Graber (The All American Rejects), Reade Wolcott (We Are The Union), and Talker — real name Celeste Tauchar — herself.
To go along with the single release, Talker has unveiled a new music video accompanying “Drag Your Feet,” which she directed herself.
She uses the idea of two people’s roads growing further and further apart to visually represent the dissolution of the 5-year relationship she’s spent much of her discography writing about. Pulling influence simultaneously from dreamy indie and harder rock helps her immortalize that push-and-pull in the final months of a relationship destined to fall apart.
“Drag Your Feet” is an emotionally sincere and devastating song from Talker, one that deserves all of your attention no matter where you are at in your own personal life.
