Latest Def Jam signee and newly popular DMV recording artist Nyne Wolf is on the hunt for his opposition like Predator in the release of the new music video for his latest single “Player Hater,” out now via Def Jam/UMG. Listen here.

Directed by Reggie Reg of Clockwork Productions, Wolf and his pack hit an abandoned building on the search for a “player hater” and find the proper resolution to their issues — using street laws and justice. On the lyrics, Nyne Wolf throws around subliminal diss shots, details of the pieces wrapped around his neck, and being the hottest thing in the streets right now so what’s not to hate about him? For newfound fans, “Player Hater” is the perfect origin point to get familiar with Nyne Wolf as Def Jam has high expectations for the new star, including a race for best new hip hop artist in 2023.
Growing up, Wolf has always loved where he came from. At one point, he lived in Baltimore all throughout high school and returned to PG after. Life was pretty rough for him coming up. He was raised by a single mother and had a few siblings. When he was 10 years old he was inspired by watching Marylin Manson videos and he was in awe of the rockstar aesthetic and everything that came with making music. He eventually wrote his first song and has been living pen to paper since.
Signed with Def Jam Recordings in late 2021, Wolf’s “Player Hater” follows the artist’s previously released single “Dope Dreams”. Before the deal, he originally rose to popularity with his breakout single “Sunshine,” which garnered a steadily growing 60,000 streams on Spotify. Nyne Wolf is currently in album mode, preparing his as-yet-titled forthcoming major label debut, expected to drop in 2023.
