K.Flay is taking a stance and continuing her story with her latest video release.
Dropped earlier today, the singer has released the music video for her song “Not In California,” which is a continuation of her visual trilogy while also taking a stand on climate change.
The song is the third single released from the singer’s latest album Solutions, and it’s set to follow the narrative structure from K. Flay’s previously released singles: “Bad Vibes” and “Sister.”
Of the song, K.Flay says:
“‘not in california’ is about our collective inaction on climate change, and the sense of disbelief that i think so many of us feel. we’re looking out at a world that is getting hotter and scarier by the day, and still nothing seems to compel the government to take action. the video imagines a trash universe in which social isolation and littering and bad policing are the status quo — a universe that doesn’t feel so different from ours now.”
