Last fall, we premiered “Petrified” by GTA/Toronto act Arcane Ghosts. The trio since released the Human Interference EP back in June, and we’re thrilled to once again partner with them to premiere the music video for “Rooftops.” Speaking about “Rooftops”, Arcane Ghosts tells us, “Rooftops is about that show where nothing is going right. Whether it’s you’re out of tune, or off time, or your bass player is playing the wrong part, everyone’s been there.”
In the video, however, everyone is having a blast. Arcane Ghosts are playing at a Canada Day party, which if you’re wondering, is exactly like a summer bbq in the US: there’s backyard volleyball, a keg stand, and fireworks to finish it off. The band perform in front of all of their friends, who can’t help but have a good time.
If you like what you see and hear, stream/buy the track on Apple Music or BandCamp. Based in Brampton and originally conceived in the university town of Kitchener-Waterloo, Arcane Ghosts combine raw emotion and math skills for a post-hardcore-meets-pop-punk sound that’ll win over fans of Dance Gavin Dance, I The Mighty, and Movements. Human Interference is the follow-up to their 2017 debut EP. They’ve supported Rarity, Heavy Hearts, and Certainty, and played Blackout Fest 2017 with The Creepshow and illScarlett.
Arcane Ghosts’ next show will take place on September 22 at Big Daddy’s Bar and Grill in New Market, Ontario; check out Arcane Ghosts on Facebook and Instagram for more info.
