Taylor Swift isn’t slowing down anytime soon, and we seriously can’t calm down…
Dropped earlier today, the singer shared a picturesque new music video for her latest single, “You Need To Calm Down,” which is taken off of her forthcoming album Lover, out Aug. 23.
As reported when the song first dropped, Swift’s latest track is a tribute to the LGBTQ+ community. And to accompany the song’s important message, Swift decided to drop a star-studded music video in order to paint the all-inclusive message in a fun, summer-ready sort of way.
The video, which is directed by Swift alongside Drew Kirsch, features the singer and a whole slew of celebrities enjoying their time at a brightly-colored trailer park – home to the best food fight I’ve ever seen – while also not being bothered by anti-LGBTQ+ protesters.
It’s everything that Swift fans could have hoped for in the latest video, and as mentioned, it’s pretty jam-packed with celebrity cameos. Some of those faces you’ll see?
Adam Lambert, Adam Rippon, Hayley Kiyoko, Ellen Degeneres, Rupaul, Hannah Hart, Adore Delano, Ryan Reynolds, Laverne Cox, Toderick Hall, the cast of Netflix’s Queer Eye – Antoni Porowski, Bobby Berk, Jonathan Van Ness, Karamo Brown and Tan France – and maybe most interesting of all: Katy Perry.
