Today, Paramount Network has announced some big news that is sure to make loyal viewers excited.

Firstly, the network has renewed their smash-hit reality show, Bar Rescue for a 12-episode 7th season. The show, which finds host Jon Taffer traveling cross-country to revitalize failing family-owned bars, has been a reliable ratings success for Paramount Network as they continue to expand their reality-show brand — recently revived Wife Swap, Lip Sync Battle, and Ink Master have also been successes.

The second big piece of news is that Paramount Network and Taffer are teaming up for another show together: Marriage Rescue. The newly greenlit show will be exactly like it sounds, as host Taffer tries to help couples save their marriages. He will bring the couples to a resort in Puerto Rico and use methods such as paintball and skydiving, in addition to his famed confrontation in effort to keep the couples together. The six-episode season will premiere on June 2nd on the Paramount Network.

“I am very excited about Marriage Rescue,” said Taffer, who also serves as an executive producer. “Bar Rescue is first and foremost about helping people flourish in difficult situations. Marriage Rescue will allow me to focus my energy and passion on couples that need to confront issues and cause serious change in their relationship. At the end of the show, whether the couple decides to stay together or part ways, I know that our work together will leave everyone in a better place with confidence in their future.”

Keith Cox (president, development and production for Paramount Network and TV Land) adds, “We are thrilled to add Marriage Rescue to our roster of successful Jon Taffer-led programming. Like fan-favorite Bar Rescue, this series is a raw and emotional look at high-stakes relationships on the edge of shutting down.”
