After appearing randomly on Friday, and following numerous bands tweeting vaguely about the festival, Sad Summer Festival has finally been announced.

The Sad Summer Festival will feature headliners The Maine (who also founded the tour), State Champs, Mayday Parade, and The Wonder Years. Support for the entire run will come from Mom Jeans, Stand Atlantic, L.I.F.T., and Just Friends. In addition, the festival will feature numerous special guests along the way such as Forever the Sickest Kids, Every Avenue, Four Year Strong, Set It Off, and Emo Nite.

Sad Summer Festival will kicks off its seventeen-city trek in Dallas, Texas on July 5th and runs through August 3rd in Anaheim, California. Limited pre-sale will begin today at 2pm ET with the password “SAD.” General on-sale tickets will begin at 10AM local time on Friday, March 22nd with the exception of Anaheim, California that goes on-sale at 10AM PT on April 5th.

The tour will also feature several unique fan experiences including interactive activities on-sate, exclusive merchandise, and more that will be announced in the upcoming months. Additionally, a theme for Sad Summer Festival will be its commitment to non-profit partnerships an involvement. A national partner will be announced soon, in addition to individual local charities that will encourage fans to give back by donating their time to volunteer efforts at a local level.
