LA-via-Hood-River band flor has released a visual for their new song, “slow motion”, the first single off their upcoming sophomore album. The Jade Ehler-directed video features the alt-pop four-piece trapped in glass cases as sand and dirt rains down and pools at their feet. And if some frames (re: the lights) look familiar, that’s because Ehlers has worked with the band before, crafting videos for “heart”, “Guarded”, and “overbehind” with similar aesthetics. flor and their creative team are no stranger to the vague, aesthetically-pleasing video that seems to fit their music so well, and this latest installment is none the outlier. Watch below.
“slow motion” follows the December release of “get behind this”, and is flor’s first new music since the re-release of their debut full-length, come out. you’re hiding (2018) via Fueled By Ramen. The album included long-loved favorites such as “hold on” and “back again”, and saw the band in these past two years supporting Paramore, Hayley Kiyoko, and Walk The Moon on tour.
Come May, flor will be embarking on yet another headlining UK/EU tour ahead of the new album. Fresh off a stateside tour supporting Andrew Mcmahon in the Wilderness with fellow indie rockers Grizfolk, flor is eager to hit the road again, spending the better part of May trekking all across the European Union.
