Franz Ferdinand released their fifth studio album Always Ascending earlier this year with help from French producer Philippe Zdar (Cassius, Phoenix, The Beastie Boys). The album saw its fair share of praise from the general public, radio, and music publications.

Although Franz Ferdinand released their first EP in 2003, they seem to have no plan of slowing down any time soon. Today the band announced an additional list of North American tour dates. Franz Ferdinand will begin their tour this Sunday in Toronto and tour until May 17 in Oakland. Then they will pick back up on July 29 in Raliegh, ending August 14 in Nashville.
