Metallica have announced that they will be bringing their “WorldWide” tour back to North American this fall. They continue to tour in support of their latest release, 2016’s Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.
The incredibly-lengthy tour will kick off on September 2 in Madison, Wisconsin, and wraps up on March 13 in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Tickets to the general public will go on-sale this Friday, March 2. Each ticket purchased will be accompanied by a digital or physical copy of Hardwired…to Self-Destruct.
This tour offers some unique experiences for Metallica fans. For one, comedian Jim Breuer will serve as part of the opening act for the tour. Breuer and a DJ will “get the night rocking with some great tunes, hit the stage before the band with comedy, fan interaction, giveaways and much more,” the band said. Secondly, Metallica are offering what they call a “Wherever I May Roam Black Tickets,” which will give fans floor access to every Metallica concert on this upcoming tour, and there will only be 250 available. “For the first time in ‘Tallica history, you may purchase one ticket that will allow you floor access to any Metallica show on the 2018/2019 North American tour. Feel like trucking to Tulsa? Booking to Boise? Motoring to Minneapolis? No problem… you pick the show, call us no less than 48 hours before the gig and you’re in,” the band said.
