Even though 3001: A Laced Odyssey was quietly one of the best albums of 2016, I feel like a lot of people are still sleeping on Brooklyn rap trio Flatbush Zombies. That ends in 2018. Erick Arc Elliott, Zombie Juice, and Meechy Darko are back. It’s been a busy day for the trio, as they shared new single “Headstone,” announced new album Vacation In Hell, and released tour dates for the spring.

First, let’s talk about the song. Flatbush Zombies have never been shy about boasting, and on “Headstone” they incorporate hip-hop’s past into the equation. Over a haunting beat produced by Elliott, the trio make numerous allusions to every titan of hip-hop you can imagine. An incomplete list of those allusions include: Biggie, 2pac, Missy Elliott, Wu-Tang Clan and its various members, Kanye, and Bone Thugs-n-Harmony. The black and white video for “Headstone” features the Zombies cruising the streets of New York.

“Headstone” is the first single from the group’s second album, Vacation In Hell. The album will be released on April 6th, and pre-orders have already started.

You’ll be able to hear all the new music live, as Flatbush Zombies also announced the “See You In Hell Tour” for the spring in support of the new album. A list of dates can be found below, tickets are on sale now on the group’s website, and you can watch the video for new single “Headstone” up above.
