Although it’s been a few years since his last album, Justin Timberlake has still been a busy man. Since releasing both parts of The 20/20 Experience in 2013, Timberlake has acted in several films and made appearances on SNL. Next month, he’ll head to Minnesota to perform at half-time of Super Bowl LII. When he arrives at U.S. Bank Stadium, he’ll have a new album to talk about. This morning, Timberlake revealed a trailer for his fifth solo album, entitled Man Of The Woods.
The trailer showcases the natural beauty of Timberlake’s home state of Tennessee, and the pop star discusses how much his family and his home have influenced Man Of The Woods. What little we do hear of the album in the trailer backs this up, as some of the poppier synths have been switched out for a more acoustic sound. Timberlake isn’t entirely letting go of pop mega-stardom, as the last song previewed still definitely contains a Top 40 sound. That sound comes courtesy of Pharrell Williams, who also makes an appearance in the trailer.
You can watch the minute-long clip above. Justin Timberlake’s Man Of The Woods is set for release on February 2, with the first single dropping this Friday, January 5. Check back in with Substream for further coverage.
