Boston’s very own celtic-punk legends Dropkick Murphys are no strangers to celebrating St. Patrick’s day. In fact, they have even released two different albums of live performances around St. Patrick’s day (one in 2002 and one as recent as 2010).
This time, however, the band has announced they will be doing an entire tour to celebrate St Patrick’s Day. They will be supported by New York hardcore staple Agnostic Front and Boston ska band Big Skala Bim. The tour will begin on February 24th in Uncasville, Connecticut, and wrap up with a four night stand at the House of Blues in Boston, Massachusetts. Tickets go on sale this Friday, December 8th at 10am local time.
In 2016, Dropkick Murphys celebrated 20 years of being a band, and back in January the band released their 9th studio album, 11 Short Stories of Pain & Glory. While the band show no signs of slowing down any time soon, we strongly encourage you to see as many Dropkick Murphys shows as possible, and this certainly seems like a tour you don’t want to miss.
