Oakland, California rock trio Night Herons recently released Relevant Noise, the band’s second effort since 2014 following Shipyard Riot.

Comprised of members Dana Berry (vocals, drums, guitar), Mike Assenzio (guitar, bass), and Larry Huene (guitar, drums), Night Herons offer a raw take on alternative rock with the 15-track Relevant Noise. Bringing to mind bands like Sonic Youth and Dinosaur Jr., there also appear to be influences from some of classic rock’s most notable names of the ’70s.

“We’re happy that all of our influences congealed into an album that is diverse yet cohesive,” the band says. “The collaboration between the three of us became almost effortless as the songs grew from individual ideas, or organically, out of jamming together.”
