Two albums in one year? Nothing is impossible for the king of hippy-hop.

While mainstream music was obsessed with whether or not Taylor Swift’s new album would be a hit, the hip-hop underground spend the last week preparing for the return of another mythical entertainment figure. Less than eight months since the release of his last album, Mod Sun has returned with a new recorded entitled BB. The album hit streaming services on Friday. The record was accompanied by the video for the lead single, “#noshirton,” which you can now view at the top of this page.

In the clip, as you might have surmised from the title, Mod Sun raps while living life without his shirt. Fans of the hippy-hop purveyor know it’s far more unusual to see their favorite rapper in a shirt than without, and even on those days he’s guaranteed to have at least half the buttons undone. This is a conscious choices as much as it is one for comfort, as Mod Sun does his best to fully embody the idea of living free. He doesn’t fit in with the infrastructure of society from generations past and he has no interest in trying to pretend he’s something he’s not. There is only one Mod Sun, and he intends to be more than enough to make that name memorable.

You can find BB on all major streaming services. It is unclear if a physical release of the nine-track record will follow, but we will be sure to keep you updated as additional release information becomes available. Spotify users can stream the record below:
