With so much great music being released in 2017 it’s easy to understand how someone could forget that the world’s greatest rock band, Foo Fighters, have a new record on the way as well. Concrete And Gold will be released in stores September 15, but fans of the band were treated to a taste of the album earlier today when a new song titled “The Sky Is A Neighborhood” found its way online.

Exchanging the hard-hitting rock sound of “Run” for a more traditional take on the blues, “The Sky Is A Neighborhood” reminds us of our shared interconnectedness. The Dave Grohl directed video, which premiered alongside the song on the band’s official YouTube channel, finds the group taking things one step further by emphasizing the connection we share with all life. The band takes on the role of what can best be described as rock and roll aliens, performing the song on the roof of a house where two children play late into the night. You can view the clip above.
