In the first trailer for Thor: Ragnarok, things weren’t going so well for our hero. He got his hammer broken by new villain Hela (played by Cate Blanchett) and was about to get the tar beaten out of him by an enraged Hulk in a gladiatorial battle. In the trailer that just dropped at Comic Con, we see what happens from there.
It seems Bruce Banner doesn’t remember much of anything of his time as the Hulk so far, so Thor fills him in on the events and their battle, which Thor declares he won (He lost. Badly). The two team up with Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) and a seemingly repentant Loki to bust out of the arena and take down Hela, who has brought Asgard to its knees. Amongst all the action we see Thor harnessing his power over thunder and Hulk actually speaking, which leads to hilarity.
If you need a buddy comedy with your superheroes, it looks like Thor: Ragnarok is for you. It’s out on November 3.
