U.K. artist BANNERS has recently been busy touring with Milky Chance and getting ready for the release of his sophomore EP, due out later this year via Island Records, but that didn’t stop him from taking time out of his hectic schedule to fill us in on what he’s been jamming to this summer.

Keep reading to find out what songs are on his summer playlist essentials list!

1. Paul Simon – “You Can Call Me Al”

I don’t know why everyone doesn’t listen to this and sing along with it all the time. Imagine the whole country singing the hook from it all at once. We’d all be far happier for it.

2. The Strokes – “Is This It”

I listened to this loads on my first ever summer holiday on my own with my friends. Feeling all grown up but actually a gang of little weasels.

3. Björk – “Jóga”

I saw her play this at Roskilde festival one summer stood with my best friends. That was one of my favourite ever things.

4. Massive Attack – “Teardrop”

More summer holiday music when I was a kid. I remember being all warm and intoxicated by this song.

5. Moby – “Porcelain”

Aaawww, this guy. I’m all about listening to this song on the beach. Now that I think about it, I think that’s mainly because it’s on the soundtrack to the movie The Beach. Pretty sure everyone is legally obliged to listen to it there, and I don’t want to get in to trouble.
