Katy Perry has been teasing plans for a new album since the very beginning of 2017, but now it’s officially real. Witness, Perry’s first album since 2013’s Prism, will be released via Capitol Records on June 9. The album is expected to feature the singer’s hit single “Chained to the Rhythm” with Skip Marley and the follow-up, “Bon Appétit” featuring Migos. You can stream the latter of the two songs below.
Perry teased what appears to be the record’s title track on Twitter over the weekend. Take a listen:

According to a press release distributed Monday morning, Witness is an album where Perry “reflects on the changes in her own life and in the world around her, delivering songs that both challenge and inspire.” The album will be supported by a lengthy global headlining tour, which begins with a string of North American performances that stretch into next year.
Witness: The Tour will kick off on Sept. 7 at the Schottenstein Center in Columbus, Ohio, and run through a Dec. 20 show at American Airlines Arena in Miami. It will then stop for the holidays before picking up again on Jan. 5, 2018 in New Orleans.
In a clever marketing move, Perry has made it so every ticket purchased for her tour comes with a free copy of Witness. This means every ticket sold will count as an album sale, regardless of whether or not people use the free download they receive.
Tickets for the U.S. dates go on sale to the general public on May 22 at 10 a.m., with the Canadian dates going on sale on May 26. There will also be a Verified Fan presale from May 18 (9 a.m.- 12 p.m.) in the U.S. and May 23 (10 a.m.- 10 p.m.) in Canada.
