Colorado’s Tigerwine hold nothing back. Whether through emotional lyrics or their live show, the band very evidently give 110 percent all the time. After signing to Blood & Ink Records in 2015, the band released their debut EP, Lull, and simultaneously introduced the world to their progressive post-hardcore tunes.
Now, the band is gearing up to release their first full-length record, Die WIth Your Tongue Out. The release, which was recorded with Matt Goldman (Underoath, Anberlin, Copeland) at Glow In The Dark Studios, will be available on April 14 via Blood & Ink.
We’re excited to bring you an exclusive track from the upcoming release titled “Double-Edged.” Even though the band is only releasing their first full-length, the track sounds like a group of seasoned musicians with clean vocals and seamless transitions. “Double-Edged” will bring to mind comparisons of Underoath and Bring Me The Horizon with heavy guitars and occasional screaming interjected within melodic verses.
When asked about the song, vocalist and guitarist Hayden Trobee said:
“‘Double-Edged’ is about belief in something (or nothing) for its own sake. It’s kind of my observation of people’s willingness to take someone else’s word rather than find out what they think/want/believe for themselves. It’s about people who claim a lifestyle out of worship of a band member or accept/renounce a faith out of fear of rejection. It devalues the convictions of those who carry the real burdens of those decisions. It cheapens the hard-fought conclusions of all the people who genuinely wrestled with every truth and lie.“
