The major news out of hip-hop in the last few weeks has been dominated by Kendrick Lamar. That’s what dropping two new tracks and announcing a new album out of nowhere will do for you. It also didn’t hurt that the songs were great and Lamar is one of the best alive right now. In the early hours of the morning today the rapper shared further details about the album, which we now know is titled DAMN.
Like the rest of the album rollout, there was little fanfare before the news. Lamar tweeted out the cover and track list of the album at 3:15 this morning. We’ve included both below. Like “HUMBLE.,” each track title is one word in all caps followed by a period. If they all make as strong as statement as “HUMBLE.” we’re definitely in for something special.
The pre-order page for the album is still live, but as of this writing hasn’t yet been updated to reflect the reveal. Either way, you should set aside some time for Friday, when DAMN. is scheduled to be released.
