Cleveland native Taylor Scott is ready to start over. After playing his local Warped Tour date and opening for 7 Minutes In Heaven and Transit with his old band, Home For Fall, Scott decided to rebrand and reset. Now he’s back with a new band and new music.
Today, we are bringing you the premiere of “Start Anew,” the first single from Scott’s upcoming EP titled Leaving Home, which is set for release on May 17. You can catch the band opening for Oh, Weatherly in Cleveland, Ohio, on April 21 and in Columbus on April 22. The band is also planning a two week east coast tour this summer. When asked about the single, Scott said:
“Start Anew is a recovery song about picking up the pieces and moving forward with life. It’s the first song off our upcoming EP, Leaving Home, which I wrote while studying abroad in college. I wanted to write a song that people could relate to when struggling to turn over a new leaf, fit in after moving to a new place, or just trying to move on after a bad breakup. It’s honest and tough love, but hopeful and optimistic at the same time, and I hope it helps at least one person out there feel a little bit better about the future.”
