There’s nothing better than enjoying the outdoors. Whether it’s in the dead of winter with everything covered in snow or going for a hike in the summer when everything is vibrant and alive, enjoying nature is always a pleasure. Australian artist Elle Graham—performing under the name Woodes—has captured this sentiment on her newly released track, “Bonfire.”

Everything about “Bonfire” feels like it’s taken from planet Earth. Between the earthy percussion and light-as-air backing vocals, the song is like experiencing your local habitats in musical form. Woodes has some background in the area, explaining, “I grew up as the daughter of a Park Ranger and a Marine Biologist on the coast of the Great Barrier Reef. We lived in a national park when I was in primary school and we used to have giant fires for birthday parties on our property which were pretty well known among my friends. During those nights we’d race around feeling fearless—chasing one another and feeling the heat on our faces.”
