The highly anticipated and nearly sold-out Hangout Music Festival is only a month away. The 2022 installment of the festival is set to take place on the beaches of Gulf Shores, Alabama, May 20th-22nd. One of my favorite things about Hangout Fest is the food. There are a wide variety of food vendors on the festival grounds that will satisfy even the pickiest of eaters. If you are looking for an air-conditioned spot, head over to The Hangout restaurant, which is also the namesake of the festival!
7. Photo Ops
The festival itself is a dream for anyone who loves filling their feeds with amazing social media content, but the art installations are a fan favorite for photos. Grab a picture next to the “shaka” statue, also known as the “hang loose” hand, which is the logo that Hangout Fest is known by. There is also an amazing giant statue of the “Shaka Surfer” as well as the Psychedelic Bus, which words could not even begin to do this crazy, colorful made-over school bus justice.
8. The Ferris Wheel
If you want an amazing view of the entire festival, hop a ride on the giant Ferris wheel. Not only can you get a great view of all the stages, but you can also catch a welcome breeze from the gulf if you want to cool off. If you time it just right, you can catch the closing song of the night from the last artist on the Hangout main stage and get a treat with a view of a spectacular firework show.
