Shallow Pools is a Boston-based trio that aims to be different. The band consists of longtime friends Glynnis Brennan on vocals, Jess Gromada on guitar, and Ali Ajemian on drums and know how much the opportunity to make music together means to them.

Growing up, they all knew that it was pivotal to see women — more specifically, queer women — on stage. As members of the LGBTQIA+ community, Shallow Pools is a relatively new band, but still their message is loud and clear as possible. For their careers and their shows, the band look to promote inclusivity and create a safe space for listeners to express themselves through music.

Shallow Pools released their debut EP, Spring, last year and immediately showed off their expressive lyrics, catchy melodies, and beautiful instrumentation to really put their own spin on the alt/pop genre. Since their formation, Shallow Pools have opened for national touring acts like Meg & Dia and Jetty Bones.

Today, we are excited to be teaming up with Shallow Pools to exclusively debut their new music video for, “Haunted.”

“‘Haunted’ was written about uncertainty and doubts surrounding the future. The music video highlights the struggle of overcoming these psychological obstacles standing in your way. We wanted to break free from our own complacency by experimenting with new sounds and pushing ourselves to release a track unlike anything we’ve done before,” explains Shallow Pools.
